One evening, the woman was returning from work as usual through the park and suddenly heard a child crying. Lillian stopped and listened, sobs were coming from behind the nearest bushes. She came closer and saw a girl of about five years old. The girl was dressed in dirty clothes and looked at Lillian with large, frightened eyes. The woman asked what the girl's name was and where her mother was, but the girl was stubbornly silent. Lillian looked around. There were no adults looking for the child or simply minding their own business nearby. Lillian realized that the girl was either lost, or left here on purpose.
