- A beached orca was sighted by a local group of people and their efforts to
try and get it back into the sea attracted the help of other divers.
Collectively they were all able to help push it back into the sea
- A deer got caught in a Cemetery gate in New Jersey. First responders of
local Fire Rescue Team arrived on the scene to bust the deer free. The
deer ended up suffering a little wound on its side, but nothing too serious.
- Firefighters rescued 3 people from a swollen river in southwest China’s
Guizhou province after a flood had swept their vehicle into the water.
None of the 3 appeared to have suffered any severe injuries, but they
were taken to the hospital for further checks as a precaution
- A tractor operator carefully used a front loader to save the life of a cow
stuck in the mud. This occurred in Nebraska after the state’s historic and
tragic flooding
- A reporter in Houston Texas was about to go live on a story about flash
flooding in the area when a man drove right into the high water behind
him. The National Weather Service reports that more deaths occur due to
flooding than from any other thunderstorm related hazard. Thankfully the
reporter was in the right place at the right time to help
- A 31-year-old security engineer was midway through his run when he
suddenly found himself jumping into a frozen lake to rescue a black pooch
in frozen ice. Without a moment's hesitation, he jumped into the water
fully clothed and gently made his way through the ice-cold water towards
the stranded pet.
- A 69 year old man was rescued off the coast of Kagoshima Japan after
spending 22 hours adrift in open water. The man was found alone on a
capsized boat and the coast guard official called the man’s survival
“miraculous”
