Kenya made history today by being the first country to have a modern shipping yard that will see large ships being constructed, repaired, and maintained at the Mtongwe naval base. While commissioning the facility today in Mombasa President Uhuru Kenyatta said that this was a major step towards the realization of the blue economy that seeks to increase job opportunities.
