NSW recorded 6 deaths 406 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Of the 6 people who died from COVID-19, 2 people were aged in their 60s, two people were in their 80s, and two people were in their 90s.
Two people were from south western Sydney, one person was from Wollongong, one person was from the Nepean area, one person was from western Sydney, and one person was from south eastern Sydney.
Three people were not vaccinated, two people had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and one person had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
A man in his 90s died at the Hawkesbury Living Aged Care Facility in Richmond, where he acquired his infection. He had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and had underlying health conditions. There are now seven deaths linked to an outbreak at this facility.
A man in his 60s from south western Sydney died at Campbelltown Hospital where he acquired his infection. He was not vaccinated and had underlying health conditions. There are now five deaths linked to an outbreak at this hospital.
