Dia 25 de novembro de 2015, depois do meu último encontro com o Flávio, cheguei em casa comovido...Sentei ao piano e, como um desabafo, escrevi a canção que agora apresento a vocês.
Pressenti o que estava prestes a acontecer e chamei a canção de réquiem desde o dia que a escrevi. Pouco tempo depois, o inevitável aconteceu e o Flávio se foi...
O Flávio foi meu parceiro e amigo por mais de 30 anos! Nossa convivência ao longo desse tempo e a admiração que nutríamos um pelo outro mantinha-nos próximos, mesmo quando estávamos longe!
Fez sentido, pra mim, convidar nossos velhos parceiros dos Cascavelletes, Frank Jorge, Alexandre Barea e Cokeyne para gravarem esta canção. Foi bacana estar junto com eles e dividir o que sempre nos uniu: a música! E, sendo essa música para o Flávio, foi como se Os Cascavelletes estivessem reunidos, novamente, pela última vez...
