Typhoon Hagibis Continues to Intensify 2:00 pm CHST October 7

Typhoon Hagibis continues to put on a show of rapid intensification reaching category 4 by F-13 analysis and still has room to continue to intensify as it gets ready to bear down on the Mariana Islands

Hagabis is project to be a Stage 7 on the CDPS where as much as 350 millimeters of rain could drop on Tinian, Saipan and Rota before going back over open waters and intensifying even more possibly well above super typhoon status and up to cat 5 on the Safir-Simpson Scale

There are Typhoon warnings up for most of the Mariana Islands Tropical Storm Warnings for Rota and Guam is under a Tropical Storm Watch
