Poor Seed Germination & Fungus Gnats Resolved: 35 Seeds that Benefit from Stratification/Cold

Seed starting can be impacted by fungus gnats. Hydrating any peat based seeds starting mix with boiling water prevents this problem. Many plants germinate better and more quickly with seed stratification. That is the process of refrigerating and chilling the seeds to help them break hibernation.
