New evacuation of La Palma residents: Volcano is not going to stop

The authorities of the island of La Palma ordered the evacuation of another 800 people due to the incessant flow of lava from the volcano.
To date, the total number of people who have been forced to leave their homes since the beginning of the volcanic eruption on September 19 has reached 6.8 thousand.
Emergency services urged local residents, who are ordered to evacuate, to take the most important things and pets with them.
Earlier, the Institute of Volcanology of the Canary Islands concluded that the current eruption could last three months. To date, there have been no casualties or serious injuries, but the lava has caused significant damage to private property, public infrastructure and farmland.
The previous eruption on the island was in 1971. Then the Tenegia volcano erupted.
