The European Union is expected to present next Wednesday a host of new flexibilities when it comes to the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol. The Brexit Minister Lord Frost recently demanded the renegotiation of the Protocol but this was rejected by the EU. Changes proposed include an end to the ban on chilled meats including sausages, greater flexibility on medicines and a greater role for NI politicians in the decision making of the Protocol and implementation. This however was something originally rejected by London.
