Dr Chris heads to Queensland to a spot east of Moreton Bay, near Brisbane. The warm, shallow waters here are a global stronghold of the dugong.
Fascinatingly, dugong's are more closely related to elephants than dolphins.
These gentle giants of the sea can weigh over 600kg and survive mostly on sea grass.
