Lewis Hamilton has been hit hard by his 2021 championship defeat.
Following the news that Mercedes had dropped its appeal against the outcome of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the seven-time world champion skipped the FIA's annual prize-giving gala this week.
Now Hamilton’s Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has said his driver is “disillusioned” - and Wolff’s reluctance to speak definitively about Hamilton’s future has raised questions about whether Hamilton could decide to just walk away.
