Minister for Tribal Welfare, Govind Gaude informed that 70 claims will be settled and sanads will be issued under the Scheduled Tribes and other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 by November 30, 2021.
He said State Government has effectively applied this Forest Rights act to which was brought up Union Government to clear all the pending cases.
Minister, Gaude further said that this act is not applicable only to Scheduled Tribes but all the people who were connected with the forest and govt land. He informed that 9758 individual and 278 community claims were received under this act. Out of which spot verification of 4043 claims done and 1614 claims are approved by Gramsabhas. 615 claims are cleared by Deputy Collectors. Till today 46 beneficiaries were issued Sanads Shri Gaude said.
Demarcation, Survey and spot verification of the land takes times and hence process to appoint surveyors by Government is under final stage which will help and ensure speedy clearing of cases he said and urged Panchayat level committees to take Gramsabhas and clear the cases at initial stage and forward it to District level.
Participation of people in gramsabhas is very much important to solve this cases he said. As the participation of people in maximum gramsabhas is below 50%, Administration is trying to give relaxation and solve the problem. He further said that farmers and environmentalists should not bow down before anyone as they are the backbone of the State as well as country he said.
